Of primary importance for the placement of dental implants is the presence of sufficient bone in the jaw at the site where the implant is planned. This decision is made after a proper study following a CT scan (CBCT) of the area of the missing tooth/teeth. If there is not enough bone mass for safe implant placement, there are several safe and effective ways to restore it. Each case is assessed individually, and accordingly the patient is informed about the possible use of a bone graft or sinus lift techniques before the placement of the dental implant.
